Joan Miró - The Caress of the Stars
The Caress of the Stars
"The Caress of the Stars" (Yıldızların Okşayışı) is an impressive composition that interprets the infinity of the universe, imagination, and the invisible bond between humans and the cosmos with a poetic sense of abstraction. This visual world, created through organic forms, free lines, and vibrant colors, transports the viewer beyond the limits of reality into the boundless universe of imagination.
The composition consists of figures, star-like symbols, and fluid lines, balanced within expansive empty spaces. Although each form carries an independent character, all elements are interconnected within an invisible rhythm. This arrangement creates a dynamic structure that evokes the endless movement of the sky and the natural harmony of the universe.
In the work, colors are not merely an aesthetic element but carriers of emotions and energy. Deep blues, vibrant reds, warm yellows, and black contours create a strong contrast on the light-colored surface, imbuing the composition with both vitality and depth. The balanced distribution of colors supports the light and free atmosphere of the work.
Simplified forms and symbolic figures generate associations rather than tell a specific story. Stars, celestial beings, and organic forms open doors to universal concepts such as hope, freedom, and imagination. Thus, the artwork offers an open-ended narrative where each viewer can discover different meanings according to their own experiences.
The use of space is one of the most striking features of the composition. Large and serene surfaces allow the figures to breathe while also enhancing the feeling of infinity. This simplicity allows each symbol to be perceived more powerfully and invites the viewer to wander freely among the details.
"The Caress of the Stars" is not merely a composition of abstract forms; it is one of the most elegant examples of modern art that conveys the poetry of the universe, the boundlessness of imagination, and the emotional connection between humans and the sky through symbols and colors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Orders and Prints
Are the works sold at Gige Gallery original paintings?
No. The artworks we offer at Gige Gallery are high-quality fine art prints of carefully selected art pieces. Our aim is to bring the aesthetics of museums and galleries into living spaces in an accessible way.
What is fine art printing?
Fine art print; is an art print produced with high-quality paper and printing techniques that strongly reflect the feeling of color, detail, and texture. Unlike a decorative poster, it is a more refined, long-lasting product that gives a sense of collection.
Are the prints sent framed?
The artworks you see in our store are offered as fine art prints. Prints are sent unframed as standard; however, if you wish to complete your artwork, you can add any frame you like from our selection of frames, which are offered separately.
What is the difference between Hahnemühle Matt Fibre and Hahnemühle Photo Rag print paper?
Both options are high-quality, matte-finish Hahnemühle papers, preferred for fine art printing. The main differences between them are grammage, cotton content, surface feel, paper texture, and the character they add to the print.
Hahnemühle Matt Fibre is a lighter and simpler-looking paper with a grammage of 200 gsm. It is not cotton-based; its cellulose-based structure offers a more modern, clean, and balanced appearance. Thanks to its matte surface, it does not reflect light; it displays colors naturally, clearly, and softly. It is an ideal option for those who want a more minimalist, contemporary, and plain look.
Hahnemühle Photo Rag, on the other hand, is a premium fine art paper with a grammage of 308 gsm and is 100% cotton-based. It has a more substantial, soft-textured, and artistic surface. Its cotton structure gives the print a deeper, more refined, and collectible character. It is recommended for those who want a more museum-quality, textured, and high-end printing experience.
In short; for a simpler, lighter, and more modern look, choose Matt Fibre 200 gsm, and for a more substantial, 100% cotton-based, textured, and premium feel, choose Photo Rag 308 gsm
