“Thank You” (Teşekkürler) is a striking composition that brings together a monumental female figure with intense colors, geometric shapes, and sharp surfaces reminiscent of advertising aesthetics. The figure, which fills almost the entire canvas, seems positioned between a human and a mechanical being. Her exaggerated body proportions, mask-like face, and powerful stance transform her from a mere portrait into one of the symbolic characters of the modern world.

The female figure is designed to evoke both an Amazon and a circus tamer. The whip in her hand reinforces this association, while the extremely low vantage point, which makes her body appear larger and more impressive than it is, physically diminishes the viewer in comparison to the figure. Thus, the woman becomes not just the central person in the composition, but a powerful character who dominates the entire scene.

A large parrot perches on a ring held in one of the figure's hands. The bird, one of the most unusual elements of the composition, has been interpreted as a reference to meaningless or constantly repeated speech. The whip, ring, and parrot together evoke the world of the circus, yet behind this spectacle lies a more critical narrative about the artificiality of modern society and the transformation of human relationships.

There is also a conscious exaggeration in the treatment of the female body. The face is quite small compared to the round and strong forms of the body; large eyes and prominent lips almost turn the face into a mask. This mechanical and artificial approximation of the human body allows for critical readings regarding the increasingly standardizing and objectifying nature of modern life.

The strong geometric areas and flat colors in the background do not create a realistic space in the traditional sense. Instead, the figure is placed in front of a graphic surface reminiscent of a poster or advertising design. Bright colors, sharp boundaries, and large-scale forms give the work an affinity with Pop Art, and also clearly show the influence of the artist's background in graphic design and magazine illustration.

The origin of the composition dates back to the artist's much earlier works. A similar arrangement of a woman and a bird first appeared in a drawing prepared for a magazine in the 1940s and was later revisited through different works. The fact that approximately twenty preparatory drawings were made before the final composition shows that what appears at first glance to be a very graphic and direct image is actually the result of a long and controlled design process.

“Thank You” combines the bright colors of Pop aesthetics with the critical and psychological approach of European modernism. Through its strong female figure, parrot, circus references, and mechanized body language, it brings together concepts such as modern urban life, sexuality, power, and alienation within the same visual world.

Fine Art printing is a method of reproducing works of art at the highest quality. Made with pigment inks and archival-grade paper, it is fade-resistant and collectible.

At Gige Gallery, all prints are available on two premium Hahnemühle paper options:

  • Hahnemühle Matte Fiber – 200 gsm

    It offers soft transitions and a classic Fine Art look with its natural white tone and lightly textured surface.

    Thanks to its light texture, it provides a balanced result in most written works and photographic works.
  • Hahnemühle Photo Rag – 308 gsm

    It is a premium Fine Art paper with 100% cotton content, heavy and in the archival category.

    It provides excellent tonal range, intense contrast and professional exhibition quality.

Frames and Free Framing Service

We offer elegant, durable, and high-quality frames to complement your artwork.

Frames

Gige Gallery frames are made of durable MDF material , finished with a paper foil coating for an aesthetically pleasing finish.

All frames are supplied with a mat ; the pH-neutral mat used protects the colours of your artwork and does not yellow over time.

The front protection compartment is made of durable Polyester (plastic) material and protects your artwork against dust, moisture and impacts.

Each frame easily hangs on the wall using the included mounting bracket . You can use it without a bracket to create a depth effect, or position your frame in different ways, such as near the front or recessed on the inside edge.

The frame can be used both horizontally and vertically .

Support hooks on the rear ensure that the frame is mounted securely.

Framed products are shipped in double-walled, FSC-certified sustainable boxes to provide maximum protection during transport.

Each product:

  • The products are carefully packaged in durable double-walled cardboard boxes with bubble wrap protection .
  • This protects both the frame and the front surface from scratches, breakage, or impacts during shipping.
  • All packaging and filling materials used are recyclable .

The entire packaging process takes into account both product safety and a sustainable production approach .

Shipping Information for Unframed Prints

Frameless prints are carefully wrapped in FSC-certified sustainable protective tubes for shipping. This method prevents the print from being deformed when removed from the tube.

Each edition:

  • To prevent surface damage, it is carefully wrapped in 17g acid-free silk-textured protective paper ; then covered with kraft paper and finally securely packaged with bubble wrap .
  • The ink/pigment layer on the printing surface is fixed using high-quality Fine Art printing technology; this ensures the print surface is scratch-resistant, smudge-proof, and fade-resistant.

The entire process is designed to align with sustainable production principles while maintaining product integrity.

Returns & Exchanges

  • Because prints and frames are made to order, we cannot accept returns due to personal preference or change of mind .
  • When the product arrives, please check the package upon delivery. If there is any damage or manufacturing defect , please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
  • To expedite the process in case of damage:
    Photographs of the package and the damaged area,
    If possible, we would appreciate it if you could share a photo of the shipping box.
  • After review, we will offer reprint/exchange or, if deemed appropriate, a refund , depending on the situation.

Fine art print; is an art print produced with high-quality paper and printing techniques that strongly reflect the feeling of color, detail, and texture. Unlike a decorative poster, it is a more refined, long-lasting product that gives a sense of collection.
Are the prints sent framed?

The artworks you see in our store are offered as fine art prints. Prints are sent unframed as standard; however, if you wish to complete your artwork, you can add any frame you like from our selection of frames, which are offered separately.
What is the difference between Hahnemühle Matt Fibre and Hahnemühle Photo Rag print paper?

Both options are high-quality, matte-finish Hahnemühle papers, preferred for fine art printing. The main differences between them are grammage, cotton content, surface feel, paper texture, and the character they add to the print.

Hahnemühle Matt Fibre is a lighter and simpler-looking paper with a grammage of 200 gsm. It is not cotton-based; its cellulose-based structure offers a more modern, clean, and balanced appearance. Thanks to its matte surface, it does not reflect light; it displays colors naturally, clearly, and softly. It is an ideal option for those who want a more minimalist, contemporary, and plain look.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag, on the other hand, is a premium fine art paper with a grammage of 308 gsm and is 100% cotton-based. It has a more substantial, soft-textured, and artistic surface. Its cotton structure gives the print a deeper, more refined, and collectible character. It is recommended for those who want a more museum-quality, textured, and high-end printing experience.

Since the prints are specially prepared to order, according to your chosen size and paper type, returns or exchanges cannot be made for reasons such as "I don't like it", "I want to choose a different work", or "I want to change the size".

Therefore, we recommend that you carefully check your artwork, size, paper, and frame selections before placing an order.

A return or exchange process can only be initiated if the product reaches you damaged. In such a case, you can contact us with photos of the product and packaging after delivery.
